Mood and anxiety disorders are incredibly complex for which therapeutic targets remain lacking. A major barrier to advancing novel treatment targets is the lack of clear biomarkers for these complex circuit-based conditions, which result from alterations in a number of distributed brain regions, connections, and cell types that generate normal adaptive behavior. This short course will cover the latest research in circuits and networks that are impacted in stress, mood and anxiety-related disorders. The course will be a mix of lectures and student led paper discussions.
