Course Description: Principles of X-ray crystallography, neutron, and electron scattering and image formation are presented in a course oriented toward a research level understanding of the theory and practice of the field, (with a laboratory component if desired, including access to UCSF facilities and trips to the Advanced Light Source (ALS) in Berkeley). The course is intended to be highly interactive. Please bring all related questions of theory and practice, and difficult structural issues up as needed and appropriate.  A hands on laboratory section is offered in the mornings, room TBA.  Please indicate if you wish to participate in the laboratory portion.
