Course Description: Personal genomes, individual lifestyles and different environmental exposures collectively define the personal health baseline for each individual, and data-driven approaches are needed to quantify personal health outcomes by aggregating datasets from different dimensions. This course presents fundamental concepts, current practice and emerging technologies in personalized and precision medicine. It will include topics such as personal genome analysis, multi-omics profiling techniques, disease prediction, deep clinical phenotyping, machine learning algorithm development and emerging technologies. The course will also have case study sessions to have focused discussion on clinical applications.
