Course Description: This course will provide a holistic view of the COVID-19 pandemic.  Each session will start with a 20 minute overview by a faculty member, followed by student-centric discussion of one paper.  Topics will include the basic virology of Sars-CoV-2, the host immune response to Sars-CoV-2, Origins and transmission of Sars-CoV-2, clinical disease, testing strategies and development, epidemiology, public health, approaches to treatment and prevention (anti-virals and vaccines).
