Course Description: We will do mock study sections, each student will be assigned one proposal to critique per session. We will use standard NIH RO1 critique templates, and discuss each proposal as we would in a study section. The first session will be informational - explaining how the grant review works, and how to prepare for presenting your critique in study section. The remaining sessions will be mock study sections, using actual NIH submissions, given to us by UCSF colleagues.
