Course Description: The course will cover cellular mechanisms that ensure quality of protein folding.  We will cover the actions of molecular chaperones, homeostatic protein quality regulation, and disposal.  We will read and discuss impacting papers in the recent literature, with emphasis on mechanism and the emergence of proteostasis as a cornerstone in disease-related research.
