Course Description: The course will cover cellular mechanisms that ensure quality of protein folding in the endoplasmic reticulum.  We will cover protein targeting and translocation, the actions of  molecular chaperones, ERAD, the UPR and ER to golgi transport.  We will read and discuss impacting papers in the recent literature.
